Haku's Chronicles: Meet Haku - The King of the Office.


Hey there, world! My name’s Haku, and I’m the official ruler of the Marysville Cat Resource Center. I may not wear a crown (though I should), but make no mistake, I run this place!

When I first arrived, I was just a 9-month-old ball of nerves, unsure of what this new world had in store for me. Honestly, I was terrified. New faces, new smells, and way too much noise for my liking. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that this place was actually pretty cool. I mean, come on—who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by friendly humans who love giving out pets and snuggles all day?

I’m not your typical shy office cat. Oh no, not me! I quickly showed everyone my true personality—social, outgoing, and ready to greet every single person who walks through those doors. I’ve got this signature move where I leap into people’s arms the second I spot them. It’s my way of saying, “Welcome to my domain!” Plus, I know it makes their day. Nothing like a snuggle from the office king to brighten someone’s mood, right?

With my sleek smoked black and white tabby fur and my piercing eyes (that always seem to say, ‘give me attention’), I’ve become the center of attention around here. Let’s be real, who could resist me?

So if you ever stop by the Cat Resource Center, don’t be surprised if I’m the first one to greet you at the door. Whether it’s a gentle head bump or full-on leap into your arms, I’ll make sure you feel welcome in my kingdom.

Life’s pretty great when you’re the king, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I was lounging on my favorite spot by the office window, basking in the warm glow of the afternoon sun, when the door creaked open. My whiskers twitched, and my ears perked up at the sound of quiet, hesitant footsteps.
